CLAIM
The film takes place in 1901. An ailing Gold Rush prospector in his 70's ropes a laborer into helping him trek to an abandoned gold mine from his past to uncover a treasure he knows is hidden within. But the secrets between the men, and within the mine, abstract their goals and convictions all the same.
WHY I NEED HELP.
I'm making a big push to return to the Director's chair and get my career back in the creative lane after honing my skills on the trade side for years.
If I want more opportunities as a Writer and Director, I have to prove I can do it, and that's what this is all about. Taking a bold step, being productive, and making a project that proves the results my team and I can get, to earn the right to pitch feature film scripts and be taken seriously in my attachment as a Director.
I'm staking all of my own savings from my day job to make this story come to the screen, and I'm still a bit short on funds. With this awesome concept, vistas, and locations come a lot of logistics and expenses. To name only a few:

Transporting a crew of 20+ people 3.5 hours from LA, and housing and feeding them all their meals for 7 days. Round trip between Mining Town and Lone Pine where talent stays daily.

Renting off-road capable transport and production vehicles to be able to traverse our film location.

An extensive list of wardrobe and props.

Renting Camera and Lighting equipment.

This list is much shorter than it could be because many of my friends are volunteering their time and talents to help me make this film. So if you can afford it, any level of gift to me would be appreciated tremendously, as I would use it to make this film safely and in the way it deserves; resulting in a showcase of skill for all of the crew involved. I also plan to film behind the scenes footage and share the adventure that will be making this movie with the public.
